Geri Halliwell has confirmed that she is engaged to Formula 1 boss Christian Horner.

The singer revealed that she will wed Infiniti Red Bull Racing supremo via an advert in The Times.

Published today (November 11), the notice read: "Mr C.E.J. Horner OBE and Geri Halliwell. The engagement is announced between Christian, son of Mr and Mrs G.M. Horner and Geraldine, daughter of the late Mr L.F. Halliwell and Mrs A. Parkinson."

The Spice Girl later took to Twitter to say: "Christian and I are delighted to announce that we are engaged! We're both very happy."

The pair reportedly started dating in May after originally meeting as friends in 2009.

Horner recently split from his wife of 14 years, Beverley Allen.
