Niall Horan on recording Band Aid single: 'We're honoured to be helping this incredible cause'

UK based boyband One Direction were recently confirmed to be recording parts for the new version of 'Do They Know It's Christmas', which will be released as this year's official Band Aid single and member Niall Horan has now revealed that it's an honour to be involved.

Proceeds from the track will be used in the fight against the disease Ebola and Irish heartthrob Horan told his followers on Twitter that he's really overwhelmed at being able to help such a worthy cause in such an iconic way: "Can't believe we're gonna be a part of @BandAid30, thank you Sir Bob Geldof for allowing us to be part of this Incredible cause!"

Band Aid soon saw the 'Steal My Girl' singer's tweet (November 12) and publicly replied: "We're very happy to have your support. Thanks @NiallOfficial."

Geldof, meanwhile, praised the lads' dedication to recording their vocal lines and explained that they sacrificed their only day off to head into the studio: "One Direction - God bless them - they have one day off, and they're coming in to do this. That's cool. It's not easy; all of us have schedules, all of us have stuff to do."
