Little Mix and One Direction top list of highest earners from 'The X Factor' in the UK

A list of stars from 'The X Factor' who have made the most money since appearing on the popular TV vocal talent show has been revealed and it sees One Direction and Little Mix in first and second place respectively.

The 'Story Of My Life' heartthrobs, who finished third on the 2010 series of 'The X Factor', came in at No.1 with estimated earnings of £70 million since leaving the programme. Little Mix, meanwhile, were just behind at No.2 with an accumulated fortune of £33 million since 2011

Former group JLS are at 3 with a collective total of £24 million, Leona Lewis came in fourth with £12 million since she won 'The X Factor' back in 2006, and winner of the 2008 season Alexandra Burke is fifth with £6.1 million.

Other notable names include Jedward at No.6 with £4.95 million, Olly Murs at No.7 with £3.2 million, and songstress Cher Lloyd at No.9 with a total of £2.7 million since finishing in fourth place on the show back in 2010. 

One Direction, meanwhile, just announced that in 2015 they will be touring the UK and Ireland on their 'On The Road' jaunt. Tickets for the UK and Irish dates of One Direction's 'On The Road Again' tour go on sale next Saturday (December 6) at 9am (GMT).
