Iconic actress and singer Bette Midler has revealed that she has a great deal of respect and admiration for vocal powerhouse, Beyoncé. 

The star, who recently made headlines after publicly criticising Ariana Grande, told Harper's Bazaar magazine that she's a huge fan of the 'Halo' hitmaker and described her as 'beyond human':

"I like Taylor Swift, and I adore Beyoncé - she's beyond human, and strong, and a real athlete. I don't think any music is better than other music. As long as it's an expression of who you are and what you're going through, it's valid - and I don't denigrate anybody's effort."

Beyoncé, meanwhile, has just passed Dolly Parton to become the most GRAMMY-nominated female artist in history. She has a total of 47 nods and her self-titled album has just been put up for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
