Charli XCX 'embarrassed' by early musicCharli XCX has admitted that she feels "embarrassed" by her first music release. The singer recorded the album '14' when she was a teenager, with tracks reaching the public in 2008. Speaking to Stella magazine, the Brit admitted that she doesn't look back fondly on the record. The 22-year-old said: "'I don't count that as the beginning of my career. But whatever. "Everyone did embarrassing s*** when they were 14. My mistakes just live online for everyone to hear." Charli XCX added that her 2013 record 'True Romance' also didn't properly represent her: "I didn't know who I was and as an artist I felt like I was meant to know. "I was conscious of trying to be cool throughout making it, and it is a really cool album, it got really cool reviews by really cool people and so I succeeded in my act. But I didn't feel like it was totally me." The Brit's latest album 'Sucker' was released in the UK today (February 16). Follow us: @Pressparty on Twitter / Pressparty on Facebook.
