Slipknot guitarist Mick Thomson has been charged after being involved in a fight with his brother that left him with a stab wound in his head.

As previously reported, the US musician and his sibling Andrew were both recently taken to hospital after getting into a drunken fight.

Slipknot man Thomson was stabbed in the head and received treatment for a wound.

The two brothers have now been charged with disorderly conduct by fighting.

They will face court on March 30.

Mick Thomson's injuries won't stop Slipknot from performing live next month.
