'I Love It' hitmakers Icona Pop have been confirmed to open for One Direction on their upcoming north American tour and they revealed that it will be an 'amazing' experience. 

The duo took to their Twitter page and admitted that they can't wait to join the lads' On The Road Again jaunt: "ICONS! We're joining @onedirection on the #OnTheRoadAgain1D tour presented by @hondastage this is gonna be amazing!"

The girls also posted a public message to the 'Story Of My Life' superstars themselves and added: "Heyyyy @onedirection we're so excited to go on tour with you guys. We're all gonna have so much fun!"

The first concert will take place at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California on Thursday, July 9 and the girls will also open for the lads on their Canadian run, too.
