Mark Ronson talks about 'respectful' Amy Winehouse filmMark Ronson thinks the new film made about Amy Winehouse's short life has managed to remain "respectful". Award-winning director Asif Kapadia has created the documentary Amy about the singer's life, which ended at the age of 27 in 2011 as a result of alcohol poisoning. Ronson worked with Winehouse on a number of occasions and he is quoted as saying that the film avoided tabloid tales. He said: "The really respectful thing about the movie is you are reminded why she was famous in the first place - she was a genius, that's the stuff even I can forget. The 'Uptown Funk' hitmaker added: "Obviously, it's tough to watch the film because it brings back memories. Winehouse's family, however, previously said that the movie is "misleading". Amy meanwhile is in UK cinemas now. Follow us: @Pressparty on Twitter / Pressparty on Facebook.
