Union J relate to One Direction: 'They deserve a break'Union J say they understand why One Direction are going to take time out next year. The band recently confirmed that they will go on a break in 2016 after over five years working to a gruelling schedule. The Sun, who broke the story, suggest the hiatus will last at least a year as the four singers pursue solo projects. Speaking to Digital Spy, Union J - who similarly found fame on the X Factor - said they can see why the hitmakers are having time off. JJ Hamblett said: "They've been going for five years now, and as Union J we work hard at what we do, but times that by ten and it's what One Direction does. "You're going to see a lot of upset fans, but hopefully they can come round and realise that they've got to live their life a little bit as well. I'm sure all of them will have amazing careers."
