Noel Gallagher's daughter: 'My dad is never nice about 1D'

Noel Gallagher's daughter Anais has revealed that she often clashes with her father about her love of boyband One Direction.

Speaking to The Sun about the family feud, she admitted that he simply can't get on her wavelength where her musical tastes are concerned:

"I'm a massive One Direction fan and my dad is never nice about them. I have had a moments where I'm like, 'they're great'. He's like, 'Anais, I see where you're coming from and maybe for a teenage girl, but they are not great. My dad is my dad and he says what's on his mind."

Last year, Gallagher confessed that he has previously met Harry Styles and while he thought he was a nice guy, he can't respect what the heartthrob does musically: "I know Harry Styles. We've hung out a couple of times. They're lovely lads. But I've got to say, I have difficulties with people who don't write their own songs, who've got a team of songwriters who work for your record label."

"Modern pop music is bland nonsense. There isn't even a word yet that's capable of describing it. If it was a colour, it would be beige. Do you know what colour beige is? It's like a milky brown. Not for me."
