Songstress Sara Bareilles is set to play the role of Ariel in the upcoming Hollywood Bowl stage production of Disney's 'The Little Mermaid' on June 4. 

Announcing the casting news this week, the 'Brave' sensation explained that she is very excited and honoured to be involved:

"I've been pretending I was Ariel in swimming pools since I was a little girl, and now I get to pretend on a bigger stage. This is just fantastic."

She will join comedienne Rebel Wilson (who will star as the Sea Witch, Ursula), John Stamos, Tituss Burgess, and former 'Glee' star Darren Criss. The production is also set to feature a 71-piece live orchestra.
