5 Seconds of Summer star reflects on Prince's death

5 Seconds of Summer guitarist Michael Clifford was "devastated" to hear about the death of Prince.

The music world was sent into shock after news broke that the 57-year-old had passed away in his Paisley Park complex in Minneapolis on Thursday (April 21).

He was found unresponsive in an elevator and paramedics were unable to revive him.

5 Seconds of Summer star Clifford said his father used to play him Prince songs when he was younger.

The Australian said: "Devastated to hear the news about Prince.

"My dad used to play me his songs when I was growing up and showed me how…"

Clifford joins a multitude of music stars who have paid tribute to Prince.

Even US President Barack Obama has chimed in with his own message of condolence.
