Joe and Jake about their Eurovision entry: 'We just wanted to make the UK proud'

Joe Woolford and Jake Shakeshaft, who first appeared on 'The Voice', represented the United Kingdom last night at the Eurovision Song Contest and despite not winning, the lads had a great time.

The UK finished in 24th place with 'You're Not Alone', but the final result didn't bother Joe and Jake as they took to their Twitter page to reveal how proud they were to represent their country at the popular event:

"Two best friends, just had the night of their lives. Thank you all so much. Regardless of the result, our main aim was to make the UK proud! We hope we did that!"

Jamala, who provided the Ukraine's entry, won the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Sweden with her haunting rendition of '1944' and upon winning she said: "I want peace and love for everyone!".
