'I Try' hitmaker Macy Gray has nothing but praise for young songstress Ariana Grande, with whom she collaborated recently on a song called 'Leave Me Lonely'.

Speaking to Billboard about the talented vocal sensation, Gray admitted that she is incredibly gifted and she was actually surprised to hear her voice in its purest form when they worked together because it was so wonderful:

“She’s a pure singer. It’s similar to what Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Christina Aguilera have -- that power thing. But I didn’t realise that. She does all these pop records where you can get a song across without showing your chops.”

As previously reported, Grande opened up about her 'Super Bunny' look and joked that it makes her feel like a "bad bitch": “(Super Bunny) is my superhero, or super-villain -- whatever I’m feeling on the day. Whenever I doubt myself or question choices I know in my gut are right -- because other people are telling me other things -- I’m like, ‘What would that bad bitch Super Bunny do?’ She helps me call the shots.”
