Nick Grimshaw planning a music-based TV show: 'The country needs it'

BBC Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw has revealed that he has big plans for a new television show that would be centred around music.

He told Britain's The Sun newspaper that he is working on an idea for a Top of the Pops style programme with his friend at the moment and described it as "what the country needs": "I'm writing a show with my friend Aimee. We've just started writing it. We're in talks to do a show."

Back in February, Grimshaw opened up about his departure from 'The X Factor' as a judge and confessed that it was a chance in a lifetime, but he is happy to move on and will watch this year's series as a fan.
