Paul Simon secures first UK No.1 album in nearly 30 years

Paul Simon has landed his first No.1 album in the UK in nearly three decades.

The singer-songwriter topped Friday's (June 10) albums chart with 'Stranger To Stranger'.

The US star last reached No.1 in the UK with 1990's 'The Rhythm Of The Saints'.

At No.2 meanwhile is Drake's 'Views', with Coldplay's 'A Head Full Of Dreams' rising one place to No.3.

Beyoncé's 'Lemonade' drops one place to No.4, while rounding of the midweek top five is Catfish and the Bottlemen's 'The Ride', which slips from No.1.

Bugzy Malone is a new entry at No.6 with 'Facing Time', while David Bowie's 'Best of Bowie' jumps seven places to No.13.

Volbeat are new in at No.16 with 'Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie', with Tegan And Sara some way behind with their new effort 'Love You To Death' (No.30).
