Bowie producer Tony Visconti apologises to Adele for vocal comments

Tony Visconti has apologised to Adele for comments he made recently about her voice.

The David Bowie producer said in an interview about the state of today's mainstream music scene that Adele's vocals were probably "manipulated".

The singer responded by saying at a recent show: "Some dickhead is trying to say that my voice isn't me on record... dude, suck my dick. Why don't you come to a show my darling?!"

Speaking to Billboard, Visconti has now apologised for causing offence to Adele.

He said: "I'm sorry that what I said in regards to what's being played on radio was misconstrued yet I cannot apologise for something taken the wrong way. If Adele has taken my comments as offensive that was certainly not my intent."

"Adele has a great voice and it brings pleasure to millions."
