Shia LeBeouf arrested and charged during He Will Not Divide Us anti-Trump protest

Actor Shia LeBeouf has been arrested and charged with assault and harassment during a protest against President Donald Trump in the USA.

The 'American Honey' star has been appearing in a livestream project entitled He Will Not Divide Us since President Trump's inauguration on Friday last week and according to police, he was involved in a dispute in the early hours of this morning that led to his arrest.

Police confirmed that a 25-year-old man sustained scratches after a verbal confrontation escalated to a physical confrontation and this situation resulted in LeBeouf's arrest. He has since been released.

He Will Not Divide Us is a livestream that was co-founded by LeBeouf and two others and has been running since Trump's inauguration ceremony. It's currently broadcasting from the Museum of Moving Image in New York City.
