Texas have announced details about the release of their highly anticipated new album, entitled 'Jump On Board'. 

The band's frontwoman, Sharleen Spiteri, explained that the offering has a contemporary sound: "When music's in your DNA, what's gone in will come back out. 'Jump On Board' has references of course, but it's an up-front, modern-sounding record."

She added: "We feel refreshed. We definitely had a great time making this record. It's time to jig it all up. It's like a new beginning. This is the next part of our story, and we're loving it."

Texas, meanwhile, will perform at this year's Isle of Wight Festival, which is due to take place between June 8-11. The tracklisting for the group's record, which will be officially released on April 21, is as follows:
