Adele, Beyoncé, The 1975 and Bastille win NME AwardsThe 2017 NME Awards took place last night (February 15) at London's Brixton Academy and winners included Bastille, Adele and The 1975. The Best British Band prize went to Biffy Clyro, Metallica won the Best International Band award, Skepta took home the Best British Male title and M.I.A. won the female counterpart. Christine & the Queens won Best Track and Best International Female, The 1975 secured the Best Live Band award, and Music Moment of the Year went to Coldplay for their touching Viola Beach tribute at Glastonbury Festival. Pet Shop Boys picked up the coveted Godlike Genius award, which has previously been won by the likes of Blondie, Coldplay, Noel Gallagher, Dave Grohl, The Cure, Paul Weller, and the Manic Street Preachers. Adele won Best Festival Headliner and Beyoncé landed the Hero of the Year title.
