Next year’s inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been revealed and among them are Neil Diamond, Alice Cooper and Dr. John.

The announcement of the successful nominations came on Tuesday (December 14) and also included Darlene Love and Tom Waits.

Neil Diamond claims the induction isn’t much of a surprise, telling the Associated Press: "I thought about it occasionally, but I kind of figured they'd get around to me at some point."

Darlene Love added: "Finally it's done. It still hasn't hit me yet. I still have that nervous stomach, and I'm still excited."

The induction ceremony will take place at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in New York on March 14, 2011.
