American Idol makes changes to increase ratings

The forthcoming tenth season of American Idol will see some changes in attempt to attract higher ratings.

The show, which will have Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler as new judges, is also employing the talents of A-list hit makers who will mentor the finalists and contestants.

Jimmy Iovine of Universal Music will feature as a mentor as will Tricky Stewart (Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ and Rhianna’s ‘Umbrella’), Alex Da Kid (Eminem ft. Rhianna’s ‘Love The Way You Lie’ and B.o.B ft. Hayley Williams’ ‘Airplanes’), Rodney Jerkins (Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé), Polow da Don (Keri Hilson, Trey Songz) and Jim Jonsin (T.I., Nelly).
