Actor and singer Matthew Morrison will be releasing a debut album some time in 2011. 

The star, who plays Glee's all-singing all-dancing teacher Will Schuester, spoke about the record in an interview with Just Jared, and explained:

“I’ve kind of always wanted to do an album, and with the success of Glee, it’s kind of afforded me the opportunity to make that happen,” 

“I think in the beginning, I was kind of trying to gear it towards the Glee audience, to make a very pop-y kind of vibrant record."

After toying with different sound, Morrison, 32, decided to avoid the accessibility that the musical television show aims for:

"I don’t want to make a Glee album. I want to do something that’s really personal to me.”
