Oasis mogul rates Noel’s new material

One-time manager and former Creation Records boss Alan McGee has revealed that he’s heard Noel Gallagher’s latest music and claims it is up there with the songwriter’s best.

McGee, who signed Oasis to his label in the early 1990s, even claims that the new material is the best work Gallagher has done since Oasis’ hit album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’.

Speaking to Uncut magazine, McGee said: "It's amazing... It's stripped down. [There] are three massive tunes like [hits] ‘Don't Look Back in Anger’, ‘Live Forever’... I would say it's probably his best record since ‘Morning Glory’."

And the retired music mogul admits he misses the Oasis leader: "Noel is one of the good guys... He's a f**king gent."
