Carlos Santana weds

Guitar legend Carlos Santana married drummer Cindy Blackman last month in Hawaii.

The marriage is the second for Santana who was wed to Deborah Santana for 30 years. The pair have three children together.

Blackman, 51, talked to People.com about the ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton on Maui, saying that despite a rainstorm, "it couldn't have been more beautiful."

She added: "My favourite part of the ceremony was when we washed our hands in a bowl of rainwater.

"We absolved ourselves of all things past and all things future except the two of us. It felt so clearing to do that."

Although the news of the nuptials has only surfaced now, the 180 guests at the ceremony was not lacking in celebrity, with comedian George Lopez and musician pals Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter in attendance.

Carlos said of his new wife: "Cindy is a match with everything that I am, from fire of passion to vulnerability," he says. "Everything tastes better when you share it with your soul mate."
