Queens Of The Stone Age for small UK club gigs

Rockers Queens Of The Stone Age have some exciting plans for later in 2011.

Front man Josh Homme spoke to Radio 1's Zane Lowe and revealed that the band will be coming to the UK before the summer to play some small club gigs.

The 'No One Knows' stars haven't released any new material since their '07 album 'Era Vulgaris', but keyboardist Dean Fertita recently revealed to Billboard.com that a new record is on the cards:

"Everybody seems excited and ready to go. We've got so many ideas started already; I guess we'll see what turns out to be everybody's favorite. It's very much still [Josh Homme's] band, but I think all of us really feel like we've found our space in it and can contribute to it as well."

No other details have been unveiled about the planned intimate shows as of yet but Zane Lowe did tweet:

"QOTSA to play several shows in special venues across the UK pre summer to support the re-release of their debut album on Domino Records."
