Jedward to represent Ireland at Eurovision

After a public vote last night (February 11) was held, Irish duo Jedward have nabbed the chance to represent their homeland at the Eurovision song contest.

Twins John and Edward Grimes outshone four other contestants on last night's The Late Late Show with their performance of song entry 'Lipstick'.

The brothers will be performing at the song contest in May, which is due to be held in Germany. Speaking with Digital Spy, the pair said: "We are so happy to have been chosen to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest.

"It's the most amazing honour and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for the song tonight.

"We'd also like to thank our mentor Caroline Downey-Desmond for all her support and the song writers for writing such an amazing song that we are really looking forward to performing in Düsseldorf in May."
