'Lady' Lady Gaga for royal wedding

After months of speculation surrounding who is set to perform at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding, one name has been confirmed.

International pop sensation Lady Gaga will take centre stage at the forthcoming royal function and will entertain the exclusive gathering with a mini-set of some of her best known singles. The 'Born This Way' icon was a natural choice for the event as her philanthropic work has earned her almost as much exposure as her career as a musician, but there is an unusual catch.

Gaga, who recently celebrated her 25th birthday, stated that she would be involved in the ceremony in return for the rather noble title of 'Lady'.

The royal affair is due to take place on April 29 and with the soon-to-be Lady Lady Gaga's upcoming album's release just a few weeks after she may even use the spotlight to premiere some new material.
