Beastie Boys have given an update on the health of bandmate Adam Yauch, who was diagnosed with cancer back in 2009. 

He was told he had cancer of the preaortic gland and lymph node a couple of years ago, but despite being on the road to recovery is still receiving medical attention for his condition. Adam 'Ad Rock' Horovitz told the NME that Yauch is doing well:

"He's doing OK,"

"He's still in treatment, so it's not 100 percent. But things are looking good. We're not touring, we're just getting the record out – and we're not making any plans until he is better. Which is definitely going to happen."
