Having a baby "saved" Mel C's life

Former Spice Girl star, Mel C, has revealed how having a baby put an end to her battle with bulimia.

The 37-year-old 'Mama' singer told The Sun that having daughter Scarlet "hasn't just changed my life, she's saved it."

Her daughter, 2, inspired her to make positive changes and she admits she couldn't be happier:

"As my bump grew the more proud I became of my body and suddenly I felt more comfortable eating healthily. I put on almost 50lbs and I certainly wasn't in any rush to shed my baby weight."

Mel C is also planning to release a brand new single, entitled 'Rock Me', on June 24 and a press release on her official website gives more details on the exciting new project:

"Written by Melanie and Dave Roth, who also co-produced with Andy Chatterley, ‘Rock Me’ is a motivating anthem featuring an infectious chorus of Melanie’s exciting and distinct vocals."
