Etta James hospitalised with a blood infectionBlues and soul legend, Etta James, has been hospitalised in the U.S, her son has confirmed. The iconic singer was admitted to a Californian facility earlier this week where she is being treated for sepsis caused by a urinary tract infection. Her son, Sametto James, confirmed the news to the Riverside-Press Enterprise and explained that sepsis is a potentially deadly form of blood poisoning. She has a history of other ailments including leukemia, dementia and kidney problems. No further information has been given at this time, but the 73-year-old star was hospitalised for the same illness back in 2010. Watch her perform 'At Last' here:
