Stevie Wonder inducted into the Apollo Theater's Hall of Fame

Stevie Wonder has been inducted into the Apollo Theater's Hall of Fame in New York.

The iconic singer was honoured at the theatre's Spring Gala on Monday, June 13 and gave a speech after his induction that revealed his excitement:

"It's a moment to cherish and remember, relishing in the memories of the times I've been at the Apollo, as well as this night, the great people that came out to support me being here."

"It's a great thing to be one of those people in the Hall Of Fame for the Apollo."

He gave a performance at the event of 'For Once In My Life', alongside Tony Bennett, and now joins the likes of Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin and James Brown who have also been included in the Theater's Hall of Fame.
