Will Smith to make rap comeback

Six years after his last solo album, Will Smith, formerly known as the Fresh Prince, is reportedly planning a comeback.

Smith is currently recording with hip-hop producer La Mar "Mars" Edwards.

"We're working on Will Smith, bringing him back," Edwards told XXL while he was talking about Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and the Game, whose new album he co-produced.

When Smith's name came up, he said "That's actually [Will] on the other line right now."

Before becoming a full-fledged movie star and becoming a household name for his role on 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air', Smith started out as a rapper, producing five albums with friend DJ Jazzy Jeff.

After the success of 'Bad Boys' and 'Independence Day', he followed up with four solo albums.

The first, 'Big Willie Style', went double-platinum in Britain and nine times platinum in the US.
