Sandi Thom wins big at the Scottish New Music Awards

Sandi Thom has picked up two top awards at the Scottish New Music Awards.

The ceremony, which was held on Sunday, September 4, saw the 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker' star walk away with the acclaimed titles of Artist of the Year and Jazz/Blues Recording of the Year for her record 'Merchants and Thieves'.

After the prize giving, Thom took to social networking site Twitter to thank her fans for their continued support:

"Thank you soooo much to all you voters out there!!! You have made one wee woman very happy and proud!"
