X Factor contestant ditched by angry bandmates after solo audition success

A girl group who auditioned for X Factor over the weekend have ditched member Chrissie Pitt after she sailed through to the next round while they were all dismissed.

The act, called Twisted, failed to get through after performing an unusual arrangment of Adele's 'Someone Like You', but Kelly Rowland called singer Pitt back for a second chance and she was met with great praise that scored her a pass to the next stage of the contest.

Pitt explained to the Sunday Mirror that her bandmates took the snub so personally that they left the arena without saying goodbye and have since sent her abusive messages both to her phone and online:

"They even took my wallet and my keys, which I'd left with them for safekeeping. I also gave them my driving licence to look after, and one of the X Factor staff found it on the side of the stage."

"They were telling our whole social network how they felt I'd stabbed them in the back. Lots of their friends would write mean things about me on their walls. They text me as well. In one Katie accused me of being crazy and said, "No wonder you have nothing, you have a talent that has been wasted on such a rotten human being.'"
