Scarlett Johansson's representative has dismissed reports that she is dating Tribes guitarist Dan White.

According to the Gossip Cop, the rep said that she was "never met" White - and that the story was a complete fabrication.

Dan White is the guitarist of London four-piece Tribes, who have recently been announced to play on the NME Awards 2012 Tour alongside the likes of Two Door Cinema Club and Metronomy.

A-list actress Johansson divorced from ex-husband Ryan Reynolds earlier this year and has been linked with a number of men in the tabloids since.
