Madonna explains decision to launch fragrance

Madonna has explained why she decided to name her newly-launched perfume, 'Truth Or Dare.'

The 53-year-old, who recently appeared in a raunchy commercial for the fragrance, initially joked to MTV News that she was bullied into naming the gardenia-based scent after her famous Blond Ambition tour documentary, 'Madonna: Truth Or Dare:'

"My manager [Guy Oseary], he just held a gun to my head and said, 'Call it this or you're not going to have a manager anymore,' and I said OK."

But the ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ star, who recently celebrated her 12th UK number one album, then admitted that the name is "a phrase that is related to me and my work and what I stand for. I think I've had a fairly daring career and I'm pretty honest about my work, so I think that goes with my perfume."

The Queen of Pop, who recently invited Britney Spears to recreate their famous kiss, also revealed that she’s been planning to enter the perfume industry for quite some time:

"This is finally the time that I developed a fragrance that I liked the smell of. I've been trying to develop a fragrance for the last 15 or 16 years."
