Huey Morgan apologises after Twitter radio rant, will "tweet no more"

Fun Lovin' Criminals singer and radio personality Huey Morgan has apologised after launching into a Twitter rant last night (May 14) against the UK radio scene.

Morgan was nominated in the Music Radio Personality of the Year gong at the Sony Radio Academy Awards, with Chris Evans the eventual winner - whilst Fearne Cotton and Lauren Laverne also picked up awards on the night.

The BBC 6 Music presenter however took to Twitter to voice his displeasure, saying:

"Hey ain't gonna let some dude from NYC win this sh*t. Fern, Lauren, Chris. Yeah right, that's cool? Suckers they come a dime a dozen...I am the peoples champ, don't need no award. Y'all know how it be."

Taking to Twitter this morning (May 15), Morgan apologised for his comments and said that he is looking to quit the social networking website as a result. He said:

"I am sorry for my comments last night. If I offended anyone, I apologize. I will tweet no more. Goodbye and thank you for you reality check."
