Boyband The Wanted have opened up about how it feels to have such a devoted following and revealed that supporting Justin Bieber in London was incredible because it drove their fanbase wild.

In a new interview with the Rolling Stone, heartthrob Jay McGuiness explained that one of their career highlights to date is performing before the 'Boyfriend' sensation at his date at the O2 Arena because the collision between their own fans and his was amazing:

"I just saw kids' heads explode. Like, Justin Bieber plus The Wanted in one room! I think his camp saw that and were like, 'OK, this is pretty big, isn't it?' And we're like, 'Yeah, it is ... just on a very small island. Don't judge.'"

Tom Parker added that having "a Number 1 radio record" was another high point for the lads:

"It was a really big thing for us and getting a No.3 on the Billboard [chart] as well was obviously another big achievement. I don't think a boyband's ever done that with their first single."

McGuiness then joked that out of all of the British acts currently making an impact on the USA, he hopes The Wanted have the most staying power:

"The current British invasion is the best one to be a part of because the British Empire was built on evil, so this music-based one is a lot more peaceful and I just think we came forward with a great song and now we're trying to match that with the rest of our singles, and not be a one-hit wonder."

"Adele and One Direction, best of luck to you, but if it was you or us? Us! Just saying!"
