One Direction fans apologise after uploading footage of Niall Horan’s bad language

The group of teenagers who uploaded a clip of One Direction's Niall Horan calling them ‘a shower of c***s’ have apologised for landing him in trouble.

15-year-old Alannah Gough, who was waiting at Dublin Airport with her sister and five friends for the Irish heartthrob, told The Irish Sun that they know the comment was made in jest and that they were sorry for sparking the controversy in a personal message to Horan:

“We’re sorry if we got you in trouble and hope this clears everything up. Thanks for stopping to talk to us, we love you.”

The 18-year-old singer took to Twitter yesterday to apologise himself for making the remarks, posting: Really sorry if I caused any offence. It was just banter with fans who I think of more as mates. But I understand it’s not a word I should be using at all.”

However, Gough and her friends said that they didn't take any offence and that he remains their favourite member of the band:

“We’re massive fans so when he called us ‘fans who I think of as mates’, we nearly screamed the house down! We’ve met him a few times and he’s lovely, really nice and sound.

“We were in Dublin Airport from 5am until almost 8pm when Niall walked out. He was in great humour, he stayed chatting for ages. He’d just gotten off a long-haul flight and he was straight over to the fans, chatting away and posing for pics. He’s the best-looking in the band and he’s the soundest.”
