Katy Perry's grandmother hires out cinema to watch 'Part of Me' film with 65 friends

Katy Perry's grandmother hired out a cinema to watch the singer's new 'Part of Me' film with 65 friends.

The 'Wide Awake' singer recently released the 3D film worldwide, with the movie taking in $10m on its opening weekend in the US.

Perry had tweeted yesterday (July 11) that her grandmother had hired out a cinema to watch it, promising to update fans with a picture of her proud relative. She said:

"Was just informed that Grandma took over a whole theater in Vegas with 65 of her friends in lolita #KP3D glasses. Picture coming soon #gogranny."

She however later uploaded a photo of the popular granny with her friends, adding:

"GRANDMA FOR THE WIN. Gma stylin' out w/her buds at my movie last night! #scenestealer #KP3D."
