Jason Donovan reveals he’d love to duet with Kylie on Superstar

Jason Donovan has revealed that he would love to duet with Kylie Minogue on new ITV talent show, Superstar.

The former Neighbours co-stars were denied the opportunity to perform their No.1 hit single, 'Especially For You,' at Wednesday’s PWL gig at Hyde Park after the show was cancelled due to bad weather.

But Donovan, who is on the judging panel for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s search to find a new lead for Jesus Christ Superstar, told The Sun that the show could be the perfect vehicle for the two to sing together again:

“We were both genuinely looking forward to it and disappointed it didn’t happen in the end. We were rehearsed and and it felt like the right time. But the glorious British weather had other ideas.

“I would love to do it another time. Nothing’s been planned but it would be great to perform Especially For You on Superstar.”

The 44-year-old went on to admit that he’s nervous about appearing on the show now that it’s going out live from tomorrow night:

“It’s one thing to do pre-records and another to do live shows. You’re writing your own script as you go along and I really want my comments to be articulate.

“But as long as I stay calm, hopefully it will be fine. I did try to get a good night’s sleep last night but it wasn’t very successful.”
