Lawson reveal regret at leaving Jessie J gig early

Lawson have revealed their regret at leaving a Jessie J gig early after missing out on the opportunity to join her on stage.

The pop-rock outfit recently opened for the 24-year-old at her Warwick Castle gig, and bassist Ryan Fletcher told the Daily Star he was gutted to find out that the ‘Price Tag’ star gave them a shout out once they’d left.

“Jessie went into a Marvin Gaye cover and said ‘If Lawson are still here have a dance with us.’ I was devastated.”

The 22-year-old, whose band release second single, ‘Taking Over Me,’ on August 5, also recently told Bang Showbiz that the group have a massive crush on The Voice judge:

''We all fancy Jessie J. We all fancy Jessie J massively - yet none of us really know where we stand with her. So there is that.''

Frontman Andy Brown also added that she gave the band some valuable advice after they were first introduced to each other at a show in Switzerland:

''She said when you get off stage you've got to drink a litre of water and don't speak to anyone just relax your voice as much as you can - so in true Lawson fashion we decided the best thing to do was to go out and drink pretty heavily into the night!''
