Katherine Jackson says she was duped into Arizona trip

The grandmother of Michael Jackson's children, Katherine, has hinted that she was tricked into her extended stay in Arizona recently.

The Jackson family have made headlines over the past couple of weeks following the disappearance of Katherine and she released an official statement on her whereabouts after Paris and Prince Michael expressed their concern publicly via Twitter.

Katherine initially explained that she travelled to Tucson willingly and had not been kidnapped despite press rumours, but now she has revealed that she was supposed to go on a roadtrip to watch her sons perform in New Mexico and was advised to travel by plane instead.

She filed a declaration that suggests she was told to change her plans by a doctor and simply followed orders, but was shocked when she stepped off the aircraft to find herself in Arizona. TMZ reports that Katherine's iPad and phone were taken away from her and she was led to believe everything at home was fine. She said:

"At the time, I trusted the people I was with to be honest with me."
