Stooshe reveal they’re glad they avoided the X-Factor route to success

Stooshe have claimed that they are glad they didn’t go down the X-Factor route to stardom.

The R&B girlband, currently in the UK Top 10 with second single, ‘Black Heart,’ told the Metro that their success has been all the more sweeter because they’ve achieved it themselves:

Karis Anderson said: “I think it’s so much more rewarding when you know you’ve worked off your own back, rather than being thrown into everyone’s faces.

“We’ve come out of south London and worked hard, wrote our songs on the album and had fun with it, and kind of let it grow organically without forcing it into people’s faces.”

The 22-year-old, whose group recently supported Nicki Minaj on the UK leg of her Pink Friday tour, also added that the sacrifices the trio have had to make have been worth it:

“We all go through really tough points, definitely, when we don’t have much sleep or get to see our families or loved ones, but the highs are so much better than the lows. You’re living your dream at the end of the day.”
