Victoria Beckham had admitted that she suffered a panic attack just before the Spice Girls went on stage at the London 2012 closing ceremony.

The pop star turned fashion designer, who teamed up with the rest of the group to perform 'Wannabe' and 'Spice Up Your Life' at Sunday night’s event, revealed just how nervous she was in an interview for her bandmate Emma Bunton’s Heart FM show:

“I was in the taxi with Emma before we started and I nearly just got out of the car.

"I was so nervous. I felt sick and Emma was so amazing. Honestly, that’s how you know a real friend. If it wasn’t for her, I would not have been out there.”

The 38-year-old, who recently unveiled her own optical eyewear collection, also went on to thank the group’s fans for their support:

“We’ve got some amazing fans out there who have been with us from the start. This is for all of you guys.”
