Rihanna and Chris Brown shared a public embrace last night (September 6) at the MTV VMAs in Los Angeles.

The pair were previously together as a couple before Brown was sentenced for assaulting the 'Talk That Talk' singer in 2009.

In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, Rihanna revealed that she still loves her former boyfriend.

The pair were seated near each other at this year's VMA awards and they were seen in a video sharing a cuddle as Rihanna, who also performed on the night, took to her seat.

As Rihanna walks off, she is seen patting Brown on the head.

Both acts won awards on the night, with Rihanna picking up Video of the Year and Brown winning Best Male Video and Best Choreography.
