Westlife’s Nicky Byrne is one of the first contestants to be confirmed for this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The Irish singer will join the likes of Tracy Beaker actress Dani Harmer and Daybreak’s Richard Arnold on the hit BBC show when it returns next Saturday.

The 33-year-old took to Twitter last night to express his excitement and nerves over his appearance on the tenth series:
