Former Westlife heartthrob Nicky Byrne has admitted that while he's excited to take part in 'Strictly Come Dancing', he's concerned at how pale his legs look in the costumes.

During his first dance rehearsal with partner Karen, he revealed his shock at how 'white' his skin looked under the studio lights and admitted it might be time to get a tan:

"Whatever is going on with the lights they've made my legs look the whitest they've ever been since I was born so I might actually tan all right!"

When Karen pointed out how ridiculous his "little socks" looked with ballroom dancing shoes, Byrne retorted: "There's nothing wrong with that! They're fantastic."

Talking about the singer's natural rhythm and ability, Karen added: "I think today's session went really well. It's the Waltz, it's a tough one. It looks beautiful and it looks easy but it's really not."

"Nicky's a winner already, I just need to fix a few things here and there but I think he's got what it takes."
