Sir Paul McCartney joins Hillsborough tribute single

Sir Paul McCartney is the latest star to put their name to a new Hillsborough disaster charity single.

A number of musicians have agreed to appear on a version of the track 'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother', which is dedicated to families of those who lost lives in the 1989 Hillsborough stadium disaster.

The famous Beatle joins already announced names such as Robbie Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, Paloma Faith and Melanie C.

The song, which is released on December 17, is a hot favourite for this year's Christmas No.1 accolade.

The track is produced by Guy Chambers, with proceeds going towards legal costs for the Hillsborough disaster families as they look for justice years after the tragedy.
